Thanks for your interest in working with career-intelligence.com. Our content is approximately 50% staff written. We are interested in nonfiction articles covering career-related topics. Topics can range from, but are not limited to, changing careers, balancing work and family, starting a business, getting ahead on the job, stress management or anything related to starting your own business.
Although we are a women-focused website, the majority of our articles are gender neutral. career-intelligence.com gets 30,000 +/- visitors a month and our weekly newsletters go out to 7500 +/- opt-in subscribers. Currently, 30% – 40% of our readers are male.
We are open to working with new writers and/or print writers who want to transition into new media. We work with several writers on a regular basis and are seeking to develop long-term relationships with additional solid writers.
These are our options for article submissions:
Paid Articles: Pays via PayPal within five days of acceptance. Buys All Rights . Byline given, brief bio included with article. Link to author’s site may be given. Generally publishes within one month of acceptance. Length: 1000 +/- words. Pays $50 for articles. .
Reprints: Accepts, but does not pay for reprinted articles. Author retains copyright.
"Expert" Articles: No fees. Author retains copyright. Three – four line tagline given. (Taglines may include author info, contact and website information.) Generally publishes within one month of acceptance.
Women’s Success Stories: This is a new section. Showcase yourself by sharing your story. No fees, but position on our home page gives you exposure to over 30,000+ readers each month. Any “success stories” you submit are owned by career-intelligence.com. However, you retain all intellectual property rights and creative rights to your personal story. Three to four line tagline given. (Taglines may include a brief bio, contact and website information.) Generally publishes within one month of acceptance.
Submission Process: Query with clips. Accepts submissions by mail (PO Box 324, Rowayton, CT 06853) or email. career-intelligence.com reserves the right to edit any articles for style, tone and grammar.
