Strong Interest Inventory® Career Transition Report |
| |
Who should take this assessment? Anyone transitioning to a new career.
|
Ready for a career change? Trying to figure out which job functions you'd enjoy most in a new position? And which tasks don't align with your interests? The Career Transition Report is designed for you.
Unlike other reports, the Career Transition report is not based on job titles. It's based on the ten functions that are found in most organizations:
- Administration
- Customer Service
- Finance & Accounting
- General Management
- Human Resources
- Information Systems
- Manufacturing & Production
- Marketing
- Research & Development
- Sales
Today everyone is responsible for managing his or her own career. It's up to you to evaluate your interests and decide which career will hold your interest. And showcase your talents. As you transition to a new career there are a few things you should consider:
- First, you need to know yourself. You need to know which day-to-day duties you like and which areas of your organization you find most interesting.
- Also, you need to find out as much as possible about different positions and departments. You need to research as much as possible, which includes talking to people who are already there.
Here's how the Career Transition Report* can help you manage your transition:
- Based on your responses, The Career Transition Report can help you identify which day-to-day tasks are performed in different departments. And which you will probably most enjoy.
- The Career Transition Report also can help you determine which departments you'll find most interesting. And, just as important, those you probably will not.
- Please note: The Career Transition Report is based on your answers to the Strong Interest Inventory. It is designed to indicate your interests, not your abilities.
While there is no time limit, you should allow yourself between 45 minutes and 1 hour to complete the Strong.
Here's what you get with the Career Transition Report: $59.95
- Your nine-page personalized report, which provides an overview of your level of interest in each of the 10 organizational functions. (See sample)
- In-depth information on the day-to-day tasks performed in your three main areas of interest. This includes a breakdown of the duties you will probably enjoy and those you may not.
- Brief descriptions of the seven remaining organizational functions, listed in order of your reported interest in them.
