Quick Color Estimator

coverHere's a quick variation on a fun exercise found in Wishcraft by Barbara Sher.* (Grab a pen and a piece of paper before you start.)

  1. Close your eyes and picture a color. Your favorite color. Really see the color, feel its energy.
  2. Now open your eyes an write a description of the color. Be sure to give it lots of personality. Don't take too much time, just jot down your first few thoughts.
  3. Examine your description.

Does anything about the color's description look familiar? It should. You've just described yourself. Or at least a part of yourself.

Clients have found their results from this exercise comparable with those of longer, self-assessment worksheets.

* Sher credits Jack Canfield, Director of the Institute for Wholistic Studies in Amherst, MA with originating this exercise.
